How do you address a member of the Grand Ducal Family?
When meeting in person, it is customary courtesy to greet the Grand Duke and the members of the Grand Ducal Family by shaking hands.
In writing or in conversation, the title traditionally used to address
- a male member of the Grand Ducal Family, whether it is His Royal Highness the Grand Duke, the Crown Prince or one of the Princes, is 'Monseigneur' or 'Royal Highness';
- a female member of the Grand Ducal Family, whether Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess, the Crown Princess or one of the Princesses, is 'Madame' or 'Royal Highness'.
